Little has changed with the Aristotle since the last update other than adding a few shares of VUG. As Platinum readers will see in the ETF ranking table, SHY is number 17 in the ranking, same as it was back on October 16,2013 when this portfolio was updated. VEA was the top performing ETF and now it is down to number 15. RWX and VWO were also much higher three months ago. This illustrates how the ETFs can rotate around the performance of SHY.
Aristotle Dashboard: The Aristotle is over-weighted in value ETFs such as VTV, VOE, and VBR as all are performing very well. VTV has the highest relative acceleration and VOE and VBR occupy two of the top three performance positions.
There is a high correlation between the asset classes under target and the ETFs that are performing below SHY. Examples are: Commodities (DBC), International REITs (RWX), Domestic REITs (VNQ), and Emerging Markets (VWO).
ETF Rankings: When the market is high, as it currently is, I pay particular attention to the under-performing ETFs as I want to avoid poor performers. High markets place stress on under performing ETFs. However, I do look for signs of life. Looking over the current list, not one of the poor performers looks interesting as all are showing negative acceleration (momentum) percentages.
