Bullish Percent Indicators: 23 December 2022

What information can we glean from the Bullish Percent Indicator (BPI) data that will provide guidance for the Carson portfolio?  There are recommended actions in the sector section.

Index BPI

All the major indexes dropped in the percentage of bullish stocks this week, although the two Dow indexes turned bullish on Friday.  The NASDAQ 100 dipped below the 30% bullish percentage and that is reflected in the Technology sector.

Sector BPI

Here in the sector section is where we examine the data for Carson and Franklin portfolio guidance.

1.  None of the sectors are over-bought (70% or higher) so no TSLOs are necessary.  If any TSLOs are in place we do nothing and let them ride.
2.  Energy, Technology, and Real Estate are over-sold (30% or lower) so we will purchase shares to meet the required percentages as recommend.  Those percentages will be identified when the Carson is updated at a later date.

The Franklin will be reviewed Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
