Profitability is mentioned in the interview. Profitability is now part of the Fama-French Five-Factor model and it was confirmed by a former student of mine, Robert Novy-Marx.

Fifty-four years after the first Munger/Buffett confab, academics have confirmed the intuition behind Munger’s “Quality” pillar. The researcher this time is Berkeley-trained financial economist Robert Novy-Marx, now an assistant professor at the University of Rochester and a fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.

I quibble over one point. I think the author is going against most judgments I've read about when it comes to tax efficiency. The author states that mutual funds are more tax efficient than ETFs. Based on my research, he has that reversed. Most opinions I've read conclude that ETFs have an edge over mutual funds when it comes to tax efficiency.

Check this out on your own. This is a minor point of the article. I found the article a useful read.

As we've frequently pointed out, these indicators aren't useful as short-term signals of market direction. Periods of over- and under-valuation can last for many years. But they can play a role in framing longer-term expectations of investment returns. At present, market overvaluation continues to suggest a cautious long-term outlook and guarded expectations. However, at today's low annualized inflation rate and the extremely poor return on fixed-income investments (Treasuries, CDs, etc.) the appeal of equities, despite overvaluation risk, is not surprising.
