Within the next two weeks look for more portfolio management that emphasizes capital preservation. The Shiller P/E Ratio and Buffett Indicator are two metrics pointing toward a major market correction.

The investment logic behind the three Sector BPI portfolios is solid and should weather any type of major market draw-down. The Schrodinger is out of my control so long as Schwab is managing that portfolio using their computers. Portfolios that need attention are: Bohr, Bethe, Millikan, Kepler, Einstein, Pauling, Gauss, and Huygens.

May 22nd BPI Report

All indexes with exception of the NASDAQ are bullish. The DJTA took the biggest jump up moving from 45% bullish all the way up to 80% bullish.

As for the sectors, most are bullish. Materials is still oversold as it continues with 23.07% bullish. Shares of VAW were added to all three Sector BPI portfolios this week. Energy is overbought. TSLOs are set to sell shares of VDE from each of the three Sector BPI portfolios.

Portfolios In General

I think most of the ITA portfolios are set up to handle the anticipated volatility coming in 2026. In general, the plan is to encourage owners of the various portfolios to continue to save so I am able to dollar-cost-average. The hope is to take advantage of market dips as they show themselves over the next 12 months.

SHV will be used as a holding tank for cash in order to capture higher interest than paid through money markets.

Long-Term Treasuries

I sold long-term treasuries out of all ITA portfolios. Unless I missed one, shares of IEF and TLT were removed from all portfolios.

The Chinese are unloading treasuries so we need to find new borrowers to finance the 38 to 39 trillion dollar national debt. The debt will close in on 45 trillion by the time Trump leaves office. It may even be higher depending on interest rates and inflation.

Buffett Indicator

As U.S. Equities move higher so does the Buffett Indicator. The value now rests around 225% or well above where it was during the dot com bubble. Keep in mind this indicator has called the market overvalued for the past six years.

Here is a link to a few other market valuations. Most are strongly overvalued. I am taking a cautious route in preparation for a rough 2026.
