Sector BPI Report for 10 July 2026

The three overbought sectors are: Financial, Health, and Utilities. I will need to check, but I don't think the Carson, Franklin, or McClintock hold any of those ETFs.

The most recent oversold sectors were: Discretionary, Energy, Materials, and Technology.

Energy is up from a low of 14.28% bullish to 33.33% bullish.

Based on the close of the market today (6/9/26) Utilities is overbought. I doubt many Sector BPI followers are holding shares of VPU. None of the three Sector BPI portfolios I am tracking here at ITA are holding more than a single share.

Technology Alert

Technology dropped into the oversold zone so I will be purchasing shares of VGT on Monday for Carson, Franklin and McClintock portfolios.

Communication came close to a Buy, but did not quite make it. The sector merits close watching.

Health is again overbought, but we already have TSLOs in place to sell VHT.

Next week is a busy one for portfolio reviews as the Millikan, Huygens, McClintock and Bethe are scheduled. These will close out the second quarter and open up the first July updates.

McClintock is the single Sector BPI portfolio of the four.

One Sell - One Buy

Since the market was closed on Friday I think I provided the critical information last week. As far as Sectors, Energy is oversold while Financial is overbought. I filled the Energy by purchasing shares of VDE and have 3% TSLOs under VFH.

As for the broad indexes, the broad NYSE and NASDAQ are both bullish. The other five I track are bearish.

The DJTA took a major hit as it dropped from 90% bullish down to 60% bullish. That is a huge hit and needs watching.

SpaceX is or will become part of NASDAQ, but not the S&P 500 as it does not generate a profit. The bloom may be off the rose as the price of this IPO is now beginning to come off its high.

It would not surprise me if the S&P 500 and NASDAQ begin to diverge over the coming months.

Financial - A Sell Again

Most Sector BPI managers no longer hold Financial (VFH), but if you do make sure you have a 3% TSLO under this ETF as Financial is once more positioned in the overbought zone.

Energy (VDE) dropped further into the oversold zone to where it is no only 14.28% bullish. I added more shares of VDE today even though it meant exceeding the target percentage.

Energy a Buy!

Energy (VDE) dropped into the oversold zone so I purchased shares of VDE with the Carson, Franklin and McClintock.

Financials and Industrial are overbought so place 3% TSLOs under VFH and VIS. I think VFH is out of my three Sector BPI portfolios, but not Industrial.
