As one of three passively managed portfolios, the Copernicus has a very different Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) plan when compared to the Aristotle SAA. For example, instead of using only VTI to cover U.S. Equities, the Copernicus uses seven ETFs. Gold and Commodities are also part of the Copernicus.
Copernicus Dashboard: The Dashboard or Strategic Asset Allocation plan is the core of a passively managed portfolio. As a relatively new portfolio the Copernicus is not fully populated. I’ve been waiting for that 5% to 10% correction for a year and it has yet to come. As mentioned before, we are experiencing the second longest run without a 10% S&P 500 correction in the history of the stock market. Instead of topping off all asset classes, I suggested placing limit orders below the current prices a year ago. Many of those limit orders are still waiting for a proper price decline. Big mistake on my part.
Eventually the orders will be filled and then we can settle back and let the market do its work.
