Current ETF Rankings and Portfolio Explanations

April 23, 2014 By Lowell Herr

Yesterday, I was unable to successfully download data from Yahoo! Finance when updating the ETF ranking data table.  This morning I was successful so here is the ETF ranking data as of April 22nd.  A positive market yesterday left only QQQ and VBK, from this group of securities, performing below SHY.

ETF Rankings:  Based on this ranking, investors will not be setting many sell signals as this Bull Market continues to forge ahead.  When I checked earlier this morning VTI was down slightly.  Pay attention to the absolute acceleration column as well as the ranking column.

Ranking

Portfolio Explanations:  I receive so many requests to define the various portfolios that I plan to spend more time reworking the Portfolios tab.  This is the fourth tab from the left when you are on the Home Page.  Right now, the pull-down menu shows options for all but the Maxwell, Euclid, and Aristotle as those are the three portfolio where I do not have permission to show all transactions.  I will likely add those three as I can show the Dashboards for each.  Those are three portfolios where I am using fewer ETFs and tilting the asset allocation more toward value and emphasizing smaller cap stocks.

There is no RSS feed for Pages and those pull-down options for each portfolio are written up on Pages, not Blog Posts.  I’ll try to remember to keep readers informed as new Page material is posted, but you can easily check out the portfolio options on your own.
