Regarding the recent market volatility, I was somewhat concerned as to what might be happening to one or more of the four Dual Momentum™ portfolios tracked here at ITA Wealth Management. Were any changes taking place or recommendations to move out of VTI? There is no need to worry any longer as all four (Galileo, Franklin, McClintock, and Pauling) portfolios continue to recommend 100% of the portfolio be invested in U.S. Equities or VTI. The current recommendations is to do nothing if you are invested in the broad market ETF, VTI.
Both the Franklin and Galileo are coming up for review this next week. The following week I will check up on the Pauling and the week after that it will be the McClintock. Since different look-back periods are used for the Franklin, Pauling, and McClintock, if there is a change in the recommendation of one Dual Momentum portfolio, I look at the other three to see if the change applies.
