On a recent trip to Southern California, when traveling south on Route #101, the GPS recommended moving off #101 and taking a more mountainous road, Route #154. Intuitively, this seemed like a false recommendation. Why leave a four-lane highway for a winding two lane road. Route #154 is actually shorter than if one remains on Route #101.
Near the summit of #154 there is a viewpoint that merits a stop. I learned from visitor signs that this is a point where there is a chance one might spot condors. We did not see any, but our viewing time was limited.
This first image is right out of the camera and is a jpg converted from a RAW image. The valley and mountains are viewed from the turnoff on Route #154.
The following image was enhanced using Luminar AI. By-the-way, Skylum is coming up with a new program titled Luminar Neo which is a combination of the best features of Luminar 4 and Luminar AI. This enhancement took approximately 3 minutes to accomplish. A little more tweaking would help improve the color of the sky as it was a little darker blue.
