Rachel Carson is the portfolio up for review this morning. As the oldest Sector BPI portfolio I look to this one to see if the sector hypothesis is working out according to plan. Thus far the data is quite positive as readers and followers of the Sector BPI model will soon see.
No changes are currently recommended. Since the recent sale of VDC there is excess cash. I purchased 169 shares of SHV this morning so the current portfolio is heavy when it comes to short term treasuries.
Carson Sector Holdings
Below are the current Carson holdings. Three sector ETFs are in place with VGT a recent addition when the Technology sector dropped into the oversold zone.
Real Estate (VNQ) is well under the recommended target percentage. Either I miscalculated when this purchase was initially made or the price changed dramatically. I suspect the former. For now I’ll let the current situation ride and hope Real Estate drops back into the oversold zone so I can add more shares when the Buy recommendation presents itself.

Carson Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the Carson has crushed the AOR benchmark and is outperforming every benchmark tracked here at ITA. It will not be easy to keep pace with the S&P 500 should the current Bull Market continue. If there is a correction, and I expect one will happen sometime over the next 12 to 15 months, this portfolio will hold up quite well.

Carson Risk Ratios
For the most part, all four risk ratios have been stable over the past year. As shown by the slope of the Jensen Alpha, very little change occurred this past year.
When I updated the Bullish Percent Indicator data this morning, no changes were recommended. No sectors are oversold so no new purchases are recommended.

Up for review tomorrow is the Einstein. Einstein is one of the poorest performing portfolios. I recently readjusted the asset allocation so we will be looking to the risk ratio data to see if any improvement is visible.
