Here is an article of great interest if you are thinking about investing in individual stocks.

I quibble over one point.  I think the author is going against most judgments I've read about when it comes to tax efficiency.  The author states that mutual funds are more tax efficient than ETFs.  Based on my research, he has that reversed.  Most opinions I've read conclude that ETFs have an edge over mutual funds when it comes to tax efficiency.

Check this out on your own.  This is a minor point of the article.  I found the article a useful read.
