Forum: How To Use It Efficiently

I’ll be the first to admit the Forum is not all that easy to use, but I have yet to find anything superior that integrates easily with WordPress, the software that is the operating system of this and many other blogs.  Here are my suggestions of how to best use the Forum.

  1. On the Home Page, click on the Forum tab.  You can also access the Forum tab when you are in the ITA Blog.
  2. When inside the Forum you will see many topical headings such as; General, How To Use ITA Blog, Portfolio Management, Momentum Models, etc.
  3. As an example of how to find something, you can use the Forum search engine and that is one of my first paths to finding something.  Be sure to use the Forum search engine, not the blog search engine.
  4. A second path is to select one of the major topics.  For this example, scroll down until you see Articles or References of Interest.  I am using this one as it has a sub-topic of Seeking Alpha Articles.  When you click on Articles you find a long list of Topics with a yellow background.  Keep scrolling until you find Forum comments with a white background.  That is what you are looking for.  My preference would be to eliminate all the topics with the yellow background and just isolate those with the white background, but the settings do not permit this.  At least I’ve not found a setting allowing this option.

Summary:  Click on the Forum tab, click on the major topic of interest, and then scroll down to the entries with the white background.
