The following data table includes the latest ETF rankings for 20 basic ETFs and the Buy-Hold-Sell recommendations. GLD is the only ETF under-performing SHY so I would avoid gold as an investment.
ETF Rankings: The overall strength of this market is illustrated by the fact that not one of these ETFs is priced below its 195-Day EMA. Two of the top three ranked ETFs are real estate. What a difference a few years make.
In selecting this basic group of ETFs I nominated 10 with an equity orientation and the second 10 with a bond emphasis. This “insures” we will have securities with low correlations.
Buy-Hold-Sell Recommendations: Using a Weighting Filter of 6 we end up with four recommended ETFs. No ETFs were selected from Cluter 1, 3, 8, 9 or 10. Note that U.S. Equities were omitted. In another program, not quite ready for publication, the filter recommended the ETFs you see where shares are held. This would add, JNK, DVY and TIP to the original four securities.
