Over the next few months there will be some changes in ITA Wealth Management, due in large part to the down-loading issues associated with Yahoo-Finance data. It looks like the TLH Spreadsheet will bite the dust. I am moving all portfolio tracking efforts over to a commercial program known as Investment Account Manager. Three portfolios, Schrodinger, Pasteur, and Copernicus, will be dropped from this site as they are migrating to another investment manager at my request. I will no longer have sufficient contact with the data to monitor them accurately. These are the three portfolios managed using the Strategic Asset Allocation Model (SAAM).
Rather than take one of the remaining twelve portfolios and manage it using the SAAM, I’m more likely to move one of the Tranche Momentum Model (TMM) portfolios (there are seven) and manage it using a combination of SAAM and TMM as explained in this recent blog.
Moving these three portfolios off the blog will certainly reduce the work load. It is painful to lose over 20 years of data in some cases, but one needs to be flexible when the situation calls for a change.
