With a shortened trading week there has been very little change in US Equity markets since last week and the same applies to the performance of our Derby “horses”:
Analyzing our Hawking Files and updating the analyses (https://itawealth.com/2015/04/02/hawking-portfolio-performance-and-review-march-31-2015/) we arrive at the following selections for the next 5 weeks:
IWO, XRT and TLT disappear from the portfolios with EWJ (Japan) and EWG (Germany) becoming new additions. ITB replaces XHB in the homebuilder category, but, since these ETFs are highly correlated this is not a significant change. The non clustered portfolio contains 2 Japan focused ETFs (EWJ and DXJ) – cluster analysis eliminates 1 of these in all other portfolios due to the high degree of correlation. It is interesting to confirm the increasing bias towards international equities.
Portfolios will be adjusted based on opening prices on April 04, 2015.
