Some of you may have heard of Robo Advisors. These are companies that manage money by computer programs rather than live individuals making investment decisions. Two of the better known ones are Betterment and Wealthfront. TDAmeritrade started their own and I’m sure many others will follow. The Weisskopf portfolio is my test of Wealthfront robo management. I’ll provide particulars after the July statement is available. Wealthfront charges no fees for accounts under $10,000 so I opened up an account with an initial deposit of $1,000. I plan to make monthly deposits, much as a young person might do.
If you have specific questions related to Robo Advisors, ask and I’ll attempt to answer.
Performance Record for Weisskopf: Below is the performance record for the Weisskopf. Keep in mind this is a very new portfolio.
