Fall Clouds
Carson is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review today. The single significant sector move occurred with the Industrial section of the S&P 500. Industrials came within a whisker of moving into the oversold zone so I used available cash to add 10 shares of VIS to the Carson. No new sell orders are in place.
Carson Sector Holdings
Below are the current Carson holdings. Several sectors were sold out of this portfolio since the last update as the 3.0% TSLO was struck.
Dividends from SCHO came in this week so I sold sufficient shares in order to place a limit order necessary to bring Industrials into balance. Since the sector is not quite down to 30% bullish I placed a limit order rather than a market order for more shares of VIS.
I have a 3% TSLO under SCHD as this dividend paying ETF will also suffer if and when we experience a market correction. As a value holding the damage will not be quite as great as one will experience with VOO or VTI, but it will experience a loss and that is the reason for the TSLO.

Carson Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the Carson has managed to outperform all tracked benchmarks. The lead over SPY is minor and will be difficult to maintain unless we see a market correction. Coming up on five years of data, the Sector BPI investing model is working quite well.

Carson Risk Ratios
The Jensen Performance Index hit a high for the year. However, the Information Ratio is not quite keeping pace with the AOR benchmark. Overall, the Carson is performing very well and should continue to do so regardless of future market draw-downs.
