“Millikan is a portfolio that focuses on asset allocation and tax reduction strategies. It provides insight and recommendations for optimizing investment portfolios and minimizing tax liabilities. Through meticulous analysis and expert guidance, Millikan offers a comprehensive approach to achieving financial goals while maximizing tax efficiency.” So says Gemini AI.
As with several other ITA portfolios the asset allocation shifts within the Millikan are designed to simplify portfolio management for readers interested in reducing risk. Once the Millikan is populated based on the long-term goals, the beta will drop significantly, thus reducing portfolio risk.
Millikan Security Holdings
Below is the current makeup of the Millikan. The sector ETFs will be sold when they reach the overbought zone so I am not in a big hurry to part with them at this point. The Millikan owner continues to add cash each month and in so doing allows for purchase of ETFs such as BND, TLT, and SHY. Limit orders are in place to begin to fill in these securities. Cash is currently at a premium.

Millikan Recommended Rebalancing
ETFs identify in red (6th column from the right) will not be sold immediately. The buy and sell recommendations are laying out a plan of where the Millikan is headed over the next few months.

Millikan Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 or three years of data, the Millikan has performed very well. Only SPY is a close second to the IRR of the Millikan. The portfolio performance is crushing both iShares benchmarks. This data comes from the commercial program, Investment Account Manager. I highly recommend this software for serious investors. If you decide to purchase IAM please mention my name as the individual who recommended the program. I receive no remuneration for such recommendations.

Millikan Risk Ratios
Based on the Jensen Performance Index the Millikan is not at great risk. If an investor is overly concerned about risk just apply the “William O’Neil Rule.” His rule is to place an 8% stop lost order under any new investment. I go one step further and use Trailing Stop Loss Orders (TSLOs). If the price of the security goes up in value the selling price also rises underneath the price of the security.
