If you were giving advice to a friend as to how to go about constructing a portfolio and then managing that portfolio, what would you tell them? Assume the portfolio must meet these two criteria.
- The portfolio must be well diversified.
- Capital preservation needs to be part of the management program.
If these two requirements cannot be met by one portfolio, how might assets be divided among several portfolios?
