Millikan is another asset allocation model that is set up to handle a correction, but would need more work should we encounter a recession. At this point the Millikan is very close to being in balance. Check out the second screenshot.
Millikan Asset Allocation Model
Below is the current asset allocation model for the Millikan. Only BTCO and VEA are outside the target goals.

Millikan Rebalancing Recommendations
The purple arrow points to the ETFs set up with limit orders. I did not set a Buy order for BTCO as it has a SELL recommendation.

Millikan Performance Data
Thus far the Millikan is outperforming the AOR benchmark and is not too far behind the “hard to beat” S&P 500 (SPY).

Millikan Risk Ratios
How is the Millikan performing when risk is taken into account? The slope of the Jensen Alpha is down slightly, but not a major problem. Each of the four risk metrics improved since December, but are off their highs for the entire year.

HAPPR NEW YEAR.
This is a minor issue, but Which symbols are in the 31.6 % category in your current allocation pie chart and what’s the category called? it not shown on the chart. This is typical on other portfolios.
Bob
Bob,
It is most likely a combination of treasuries (SHV), GLD and BITCO.
The IAM software may not have VYM and VIG identified properly.
Lowell
Bob,
I just look at another portfolio where VIG and VYM are not included. That missing percentage does not show up so that is at least part of the missing allocation.
Lowell
Bob P.,
I’m not sure. I’ve puzzled over that gap for some time. It may be dividend ETFs.
Let me see if I can dig into the software and see if I can find ETFs that have not been categorized.
Lowell
Lowell,
The culprit I believe was VIG included with
BND, BTCO, and GLD = 31.6%. I would include VIG in Large US.
Bob
bob
Bob P.,
Thanks. I went into the software and changed the Objective. Will wait to see if the change makes any difference.
