Struggles of Nature
Every month or six weeks I post a data table showing the relative performance values for all the portfolios I track here at ITA Wealth Management. Not included in the table are the portfolios managed by Hedgehunter. The data includes Internal Rates of Return (IRR) and a variety of risk factors. Five measurements are then used to come up with a Relative Weight and these are ranked from one (1) to fifteen (15). The Curie and Newton portfolios are included even though I do not report on them publicly as the owners prefer I not post detailed information.
While the IRR Rank is important, the Total Relative Weight (RW) Rank is also significant as it takes into account the risks one is taking with the portfolios.
Within the right section of the table readers can see which portfolios are outperforming the SPY benchmark, the AOR benchmark, and the Schrodinger. Since the Schrodinger is managed by computer, it also serves as an excellent reference. Right now, only the Copernicus and Carson are ahead of the Schrodinger.
ITA Portfolio Performance Data
The Annual IRR values are accurate as of 2/9/2024. All other data is current as of the date listed in the 5th column from the right. Over the next week or so I hope to review those portfolio that still carry a January date.
Of the three top performing portfolios, the Copernicus is an equity only portfolio, the Schrodinger is a Robo Advisor or computer managed portfolio, and the Carson is the oldest Sector BPI portfolio.
