Each week I post a table of the Bullish Percent Index (BPI) values for both the major U.S. markets and sectors of the market. This week showed no major changes in any of the markets other than each declined slightly with exception of the Dow Jones Transportation Average (DJTA) and it remained constant. None of the individual sectors changed either their offensive or defensive positions. Here are the data tables.
Index BPI: All major markets continue to be positive and all are in the over-bought (above 70%) zone.
Sector BPI: No major changes in the various sectors. Most continue to be over-bought so caution in your buying is in order. It is a little surprising the markets held up so well this long into the summer, but this has been a robust bull market.
