The most important key to successful investing can be summed up in just two words – asset allocation.
Michael LeBoeuf
With few exceptions such as Developed International Equities (VEA) the Bohr portfolio is gradually coming into balance. In a few months we will have one year of data with this Asset Allocation investing model. Of course there is a much longer record with portfolios such as the Schrodinger.
A basic recommendation is to diversify across the globe and I am also an advocate of using different investing models. Several are explained on this blog.
Bohr Security Holdings
Below are the current holdings and percentages of each that make up the Bohr Portfolio. BIL is included as a reference ETF and is not part of the Bohr. As we move into 2025 I plan to continually rethink the various percentages allocated to each asset class.
When an asset class is above target (VWO is an example) I don’t plan to sell. Instead, the process is to use new cash and dividends to invest in asset classes that are under target. Due to price changes from month to month there will always be several asset classes below target. By purchasing shares of the ETFs representing under target asset classes we are employing the useful strategy of dollar-cost-averaging.

Bohr Rebalancing Recommendations
To bring the various asset classes into balance, limit orders are in place to purchase shares as found in the Shares Required or 6th column from the right. Several orders were likely struck since I began writing this blog.

Bohr Performance Data
After many months the Bohr finally crawled into positive territory. However, since 12/31/2021 it continues to lag the AOR benchmark by nearly three percentage points annually.

Bohr Risk Ratios
The one bright spot for the Bohr is the slope of the Jensen Alpha graph. The portfolio is slowly gaining on the AOR benchmark. The interest rate on the risk-free treasury (SHV) dropped slightly and that has a positive impact on the Jensen.
Information on all these ratios and how they are calculated can be found on the Internet with a few Google searches. If readers have questions I will provide more information.
