Franklin is one of five Sector BPI portfolios with a current holding of one sector ETF, VDE or Energy. This morning I checked the Bullish Percent Indicator for Energy and it is holding steady at 63.63% bullish. When Energy reaches the 70% bullish mark I will place a 3% Trailing Stop Loss Order (TSLO) under VDE. Until then we do nothing except add shares of either VTI or VOO.
Patience is required as the market attempts to figure out the incoming administration.
Franklin Sector BPI Portfolio
I have a limit order in to purchase five (5) more shares of VOO to use up the available cash. Otherwise we do nothing this month with the Franklin.
Franklin Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the Franklin is edging out the SPY benchmark by a little less than one percentage point. We now have two years of data for the Sector BPI model with the Franklin. The last screenshot will show us how well this model performed over the past year.
Franklin Risk Ratios
Comparing November 2024 values with November 2023 we see gains in every risk metric with exception of the Information Ratio. Overall, the model is working as projected. However, we still need a few more Buy-Sell cycles to test this investing model.
One very encouraging signal is the positive slope for the Jensen Performance Index.
