A memory of Kipling
This morning it is time to update the McClintock portfolio, one of three Sector Bullish Percent Indicator (BPI) portfolios. Few changes occurred since the last review. When sector shares were sold I reinvested the cash in SCHO so as to increase dividends rather than let the cash remain dormant in the low interest bearing money market.
McClintock Sector Holdings
Below are the current holdings in the McClintock. I checked the BPI data this morning and there are no new buy recommendations. No sector is down to 30% bullish or lower. If any readers need more information on this investing model, use the search engine for more instructions.
There are four sectors overbought and the ETFs used to invest in these sectors are: VDC, VFH, VHT, and VNQ. The McClintock holds only one share in each of these four sectors. The reason for holding a single shares is that it makes it much easier to work with the portfolio tracking software, Investment Account Manager (IAM).

McClintock Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the McClintock outperformed the AOR benchmark, but still fell short of the S&P 500 (SPY) by a wide margin. Examine the final screenshot to see how well the McClintock performed since moving to the Sector BPI investing model. The improvement is remarkable.

McClintock Risk Ratios
Over the past year the McClintock gained ground on every risk ratio. The all important Jensen Alpha is nearly back to its high for the year. The Information Ratio matches its May high.
The Jensen slope is a very strong 0.2. Even while investing in equities, this is not a particularly risky portfolio.

McClintock Sector BPI Performance
The following data is designed to show how well the McClintock is performing under the Sector BPI management model.
It is significant that the McClintock is outperforming all six benchmarks when using the Sector BPI investing model. We are coming up on three years of data, which is still a short time to draw any conclusions. We need to see how the Sector BPI model works during a recession. That will be a useful test of the Sector BPI model.
