Field of Dahlias – Oregon
Millikan is another Sector BPI Plus portfolio in review as I’m working my way though all the portfolios before the first of June. In these latest updates I’m attempting to set each portfolio up to weather the possibility of a default on the national debt.
Millikan Sector BPI Recommendations
The following Kipling worksheet shows which securities hold shares and which are recommended for purchase. I have the SPY filter turned on and I’m using a one-year look-back period. I don’t pay attention to the Buy and Sell signals for the sector ETFs as I’m using BPI data for those signals.
BPI data after the market closed shows Energy to be in the Buy zone. I already hold 140 shares of VDE or nearly 25% of the total portfolio. No other sector ETFs are recommended for purchase so I move down to the Dual Momentum™ options.

Millikan Manual Risk Adjustments
I’m splitting available cash between SPY and VEA. If any of the CEFs are sold due to TSLOs being struck, I’ll add that cash to VEA until full.

Millikan Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the Millikan holds a slight edge over the S&P 500 (SPY) and is besting all the other possible benchmarks I’m tracking.

Millikan Risk Ratios
Three critical ratios – Sortino, Jensen, and Information – are positive. Of concern is the negative slope for the Jensen. We ended April much higher, but have not maintained that 3.00 level here in May.
