Here is a suggestion for managing your portfolio(s) when using the Kipling spreadsheet.

Set up what I call a "clean" spreadsheet.  1) Zero out all currently held shares and enter the total value of the portfolio as if all money is in cash.  This is what I did with the Basic Portfolio for Schwab Clients, only in this example I assumed the cash value or portfolio value was $100,000.  2) Run the analysis and in the Position Sizing (Manual) worksheet enter the number of shares you would invest in the portfolio.  I refer to this as the "clean" portfolio since one is starting or assuming the total value of the portfolio is in cash.  3) Now compare those "clean" recommendations with the recommendations you came to before zeroing out the shares for each ETF in the portfolio.

If you have questions, I can expand further if this does not make total sense.
