Franklin is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review this morning. I moved the Franklin from a Dual Momentum™ style portfolio over to the Sector BPI model last February so we are coming up on a year of operation. Keep this in mind when you look over the Risk Ratios data. Since the most recent update of the Bullish Percent Indicator data, no changes are necessary for the Franklin. However, we now see where VTI, ESGV, and VOO are recommended for purchase. When this happens, and cash is available, the recommendation is to pick up shares of the highest ranked U.S. Equities ETF. This morning that ETF is VOO.
Franklin Investment Quiver and Holdings
Below is the investment quiver and current holdings within the Franklin. No changes are recommended for the sector ETFs. There is sufficient cash to set a limit order to purchase two more shares of VOO and that is what I’ve done. I have a limit order set to buy two shares of VOO.

Franklin Performance Data
Over the past 23 months the Franklin outperformed the S&P 500 (SPY) by nearly one percentage point. The difference is every greater for the other five potential benchmarks.
When you look at the pie chart, lump Real Estate in with the Sector/Specialty area so we have a combined 77.0% investing in sectors.

Franklin Risk Ratios
In three to four months we will have a better idea how the Franklin performed under the Sector BPI model. Thus far the results look promising. Based on the Information Ratio, the Franklin lost a little ground to the benchmark over the past few months. That is something to watch over the next several months. The Information Ratio gives us a straight up comparison between the portfolio performance and the benchmark (SPY) performance.

Lowell,
Is the VOO call an LRPC or BHS analysis?. l’m showing VOO as a 4 on BHS score as rank 3 on the LRPC. Maybe my Menu weightings are out of whack?

Bob,
Using closing prices today and the Franklin portfolio set to the BHS model, ESGV is #1 and VOO is #2.
VOX is #3, but I don’t pay attention to sector rankings as sector ETFs are sold and purchased based on BPI data.
