McClintock is one of four Dual Momentum™ portfolios and one of the better performers. With the market up slightly this morning, what advice is likely to come out of the Dual Momentum recommendation. Follow along for more information.
McClintock Dual Momentum Recommendation
With an emphasis on longer look-back periods the McClintock is recommending 100% of the portfolio move to bonds (BND). As ITA readers know, I’m not a fan of bonds when interest rates are on the rise. For this reason I plan to over-ride the recommendation that emerges from the Kipling spreadsheet when set to the DM model. It is not a serious deviation from the recommendation as SCHP is also a low volatile security. Here is the plan.
- Hold on to existing shares of SCHP and BND.
- Set 3% TSLO to sell 50 shares of ESGV.
- Set 6% TSLO to sell 50 shares of ESGV.
The Trailing Stop Loss Orders were set this morning so the McClintock is set to run another 33 calendar days.

McClintock Performance Data
Since 11/2020 the IRR for this period is 15.7% while the AOA benchmark is a negative 1.3%. That is quite a difference. As readers can see, the McClintock is also crushing VT or world equity market. The DM is working very well for the McClintock.

McClintock Risk Ratios
When risk enters the calculation, the McClintock is also performing very well. Jensen’s Performance Index at 16.0 is very high.
