Huygens Asset Allocation Model Limit orders are in place to purchase more shares of VTI and VYM.  … [Read More...]

Einstein Asset Allocation Portfolio Update: 16 September 2023

Einstein is undergoing major changes.  1) The investing model is transitioning over to the Asset Allocation model.  2) Funds were withdrawn for educational and personal expenses.  3) The asset allocation was adjusted to follow the David Swensen suggestions.  More on this later. With all these changes it will be several months before we see how well the Asset Allocation model works for the … [Read More...]

Franklin Sector BPI Portfolio Update: 11 November 2024

November 11, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Franklin is a small Sector BPI portfolio that continues to hold its own when compared to the SPY benchmark.  We now have a two-year history with this model for the Franklin.  The ITA Sector BPI portfolios (five in total) are of different size, are … [Read more]

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 4): 8 November 2024

November 9, 2024 By hedgehunter

As investors we have to ignore the polititians and focus on the impact of policy on the markets. Obviously, Trump's victory is seen positively by the majority of investors as being good for the markets - at least for now. Last week I suggested that … [Read more]

Copernicus Portfolio Review: 8 November 2024

November 8, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Copernicus is one of my favorite portfolios for young investors or someone who has a 15-year or longer investment horizon.  The philosophy behind the Copernicus is to invest in U.S. Equities and never sell unless there is an emergency.  Since the … [Read more]

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 8 November 2024

November 8, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Nothing has changed over the last few days that will impact the Gauss portfolio.  The only sector ETF held in any of these Sector BPI portfolios is Energy (VDE) and this sector is closer to oversold than it is to overbought.  Oversold is when the … [Read more]

Carson Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 7 November 2024

November 7, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Carson is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review this morning.  Carson is the oldest Sector BPI portfolio with two years of data which is still a very short period to come to any significant conclusions as to the viability of any investing model.  … [Read more]

Bethe Asset Allocation Portfolio Review: 6 November 2024

November 6, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Bethe is another Asset Allocation portfolio that is approaching a balanced state.  Since there is a 90% overlap in stocks held in VTI and VOO, I placed a Trailing Stop Loss Order of 3% for VTI.  Inflation is currently not a problem so a TSLO of 1% is … [Read more]

Einstein Asset Allocation Portfolio Review: 5 November 2024

November 5, 2024 By Lowell Herr

During this year (2024) several portfolios were shifted to the Asset Allocation investing model in an effort to return to my investing roots.  The Einstein is one such portfolio.  What I am attempting to do with these portfolios is to get each one … [Read more]

Schrodinger Portfolio Review: 4 November 2024

November 4, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Schrodinger is a portfolio I continually tout for investors not interested in spending time on their investment portfolio.  Schwab does it all using computer algorithms.  Answer a few questions, invest your money and Schwab will set up an Intelligent … [Read more]
