Schrodinger is the Robo Advisor portfolio up for review this morning. This is actually an update as little action occurred since the last posting of information. To new readers, the Schrodinger portfolio is managed by computers based at Schwab. Schwab refers to these portfolios as Intelligent Portfolios. There is no cost to managing this Robo Advisor portfolio and all one does is add money and let the computers do the rest.
Once the portfolio reaches $50,000, Schwab will tax manage the portfolio.
Schrodinger Robo Advisor Portfolio Holdings
Little changed since the last update. No new ETF purchases. The cash is a little higher as the owner added a few dollars since the May report.
Schrodinger Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the Schrodinger has managed to outperform all tracked benchmarks. The following data comes from the commercial software, Investment Account Manager, developed at QuantIX. I’ve used this software since the days of DOS.
Schrodinger Risk Ratios
Over the lifetime of the Schrodinger the portfolio has consistently put up strong numbers. The Jensen Performance Index (Jensen Alpha) is close to an all-time high as is the all important Information Ratio.
The Schrodinger is coming up on nine years of operation. Performance has been better than expected. I highly recommend families and/or individuals have at least one Intelligent Portfolio managing the family portfolio. This is part of diversification.
