Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 2): 27 September 2024

September 28, 2024 By hedgehunter Leave a Comment

It was a relatively uneventful/quiet week in the US Equity markets with stocks showing a modest 0.5% gain on the week: While we are still near all-time highs in the SPX (S&P 500 Index) I see possible resistance around the 5790 level before seeing another

Schrodinger Portfolio Review: 27 September 2024

September 26, 2024 By Lowell Herr 10 Comments

Schrodinger is a Robo Advisor account or what Schwab calls an Intelligent Portfolio.  Managed by computer algorithms, this is simply a report as no decisions are required.  The portfolio is on automatic pilot.  Since the portfolio is greater than $50,000 it qualifies to be tax managed. I highly recommend

September 26, 2024 By Lowell Herr Leave a Comment

As one of several Asset Allocation portfolios, the Huygens is beginning to meet all the percentage requirements.  There are still a few asset classes that are oversubscribed or above the recommended percentage due to holdovers from the prior investing model.  VB and

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 1): 20 September 2024

September 22, 2024 By hedgehunter 1 Comment

On Thursday the SPX (S&P 500 Index) broke through resistance to hit new all-time highs and confirm that the recent pullback was a mere “breather” in the current uptrend (higher highs and higher lows) that started in May – or even last November (depending on how one

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 3 and Tranche 4): 6 September and 13 September 2024

September 14, 2024 By hedgehunter Leave a Comment

Due to the disruption in access to Yahoo price data, and the fact that I am presently travelling, I was not able to post a review of the Rutherford Portfolio last week so I will attempt to play catch-up this week. After a minor pull-back

Copernicus Portfolio Review: 13 September 2024

September 13, 2024 By Lowell Herr 4 Comments

This update or review of the Copernicus is incomplete as Yahoo closed the door on access to their security price data.  This change impacted the Investment Account Portfolio (IAM) software so I don’t have any way to download prices into that program.  I am in contact with the developers

Millikan Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 6 September 2024

September 6, 2024 By Lowell Herr 1 Comment

Before digging into the Millikan Sector BPI review I checked to see if any sectors dropped into the oversold zone.  None made this move so there are no recommendations to purchase any sectors or sector ETFs.  Of the overbought sectors, TSLOs are
