Tree Planting
Einstein, one of the truncated asset allocation portfolios, is up for review today. Since the last review shares of SCHG were sold and reinvested in SHV. The move is designed to protect capital during this period of chaos and uncertainty. The third and fourth quarters of 2025 will provide more information as to what effect tariffs will have on the U.S. economy. For now I am taking a cautions route with many of the portfolios I watch over.
Einstein Security Holdings
Below are the current holdings for the Einstein. Not reported today is the addition of more shares of SHV. I used up nearly all available cash to purchase more shares of SHV. One more note, the interest rate on SHV declined slightly since the last review.

Einstein Performance Data
Einstein is one of the poorest performing portfolios tracked here at ITA. The portfolio is still in negative territory and not close to any of the six benchmarks. When we see lackluster IRR values we look to the risk ratio data to see if there is positive growth showing up anywhere.

Einstein Risk Ratios
The one bright picture for the Einstein is that each benchmark is an improvement since June of last year. When the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is dim we look to the risk ratios to see if there is gradual improvement. Positive growth is what we are seeing with the Einstein.
