When the market opened to the upside this morning I was more than a little surprised. Such is the nature of the U.S. Equities market. Never try to predict what it is going to do.
The McClintock is patiently waiting for one or more sectors to drop into the oversold zone so we can purchase one or more sector ETFs. Right now we are holding SHV and VOO.
McClintock Sector Holdings
This morning I added three (3) more shares of SHV and placed a limit order for three (3) shares of VOO. The limit order was set at 3% below the current price.
No purchase recommendations are present for any of the eleven sectors.
McClintock Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the McClintock is outperforming the AOR benchmark, but is well behind the S&P 500 (SPY). My cautious position has been a drag on the portfolio performance.
McClintock Risk Ratios
When compared with August of 2024, the risk ratios all show up quite well. Pay more attention to the July 2025 figures as we have very little August 2025 information.
Encouraging is the positive Jensen Performance Index slope (0.23).
