Huygens Asset Allocation Model Limit orders are in place to purchase more shares of VTI and VYM.  … [Read More...]

Bohr Portfolio Review: 4 June 2025

As with several other ITA portfolios, capital preservation is of significant importance to the owner of the Bohr portfolio.  As a result there is a willingness to give up potential returns during these uncertain times.  The on again, off again tariff battle is an anathema to business as it interferes with future planning.  Right now the Bohr portfolio is hunkered down to holding a dividend paying … [Read More...]

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 3): 3 November 2023

November 5, 2023 By hedgehunter

It was a very bullish week in the US Equity markets with the SPX (S&P 500 Index) closing up 5 days in a row and ~6% higher than last week's close: We are now sitting at the top of the 1 SD boundary of the shorter-term downtrend channel and back … [Read more]

Huygens Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 2 November 2023

November 2, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Huygens is another ITA portfolio in a state of flux as I'm transitioning over to the Sector BPI investing model.  One more CEF is up for sale and that security is KYN.  SPE was sold out of the portfolio this morning. … [Read more]

Schrodinger Portfolio Update: 1 November 2023

November 1, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Early November is a good time to update the Schrodinger, a computer managed portfolio.  Since the last review Schwab, the broker that manages this portfolio, made a number of changes.  More than a few were likely driven by tax harvesting. … [Read more]

Franklin Sector BPI Portfolio Update: 30 October 2023

October 30, 2023 By Lowell Herr

After the market opened this morning I proceeded to reallocate and/or rebalance the Carson, Bohr, and now the Franklin portfolios.  Not all limit orders were struck, but all three portfolios are set to finish out 2023 without too much further … [Read more]

Bohr Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 30 October 2023

October 30, 2023 By Lowell Herr

The Bohr portfolio is new to the Sector BPI investing model.  Positioning the different sectors that are oversold is primarily what is happening in this review or update.  There is a significant percentage in cash and that will be allocated to … [Read more]

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 2): 27 October 2023

October 29, 2023 By hedgehunter

It was a bad week for US equities with the SPX (S&P 500 Index) dropping over 2.5% from last week's close: It has also now closed below the lower 2 Standard Deviation boundary of the early 2023 bullish uptrend channel (yellow line) and the 50% … [Read more]
