Darwin 2026 Portfolio Review: 15 May 2026

This may well be an example of a "blow-off" top and/or simply short covering by traders who were short at levels in the … [Read More...]

Bullish Percent Indicators: 7 February 2025

February 8, 2025 By Lowell Herr

Bullish Percent Indicator data was last published on January 10th of this year.  There was little need to publish anything over the last month as no sector action impacted any of the Sector BPI portfolios.  There was one day when Staples dipped into … [Read more]

Schrodinger Portfolio Review: 6 February 2025

February 6, 2025 By Lowell Herr

Once more it is time to update the highly touted Schrodinger portfolio.  This account is a Schwab "Intelligent Portfolio" managed by computer.  I think of this style of portfolio as a Robo Advisor portfolio.  As an investor interested in setting up … [Read more]

Millikan Asset Allocation Portfolio Update: 5 February 2025

February 5, 2025 By Lowell Herr

The Millikan portfolio is the other Sector BPI portfolio I am switching to a simplified asset allocation investment model.  It will likely take a few more reviews before the portfolio is in balance. The current beta is 0.71.  When in total balance … [Read more]

Gauss Asset Allocation Portfolio Review: 5 February 2025

February 5, 2025 By Lowell Herr

Gauss is not scheduled for a review until later this month, but since I am shifting this account from a Sector BPI investing model over to a simplified Asset Allocation investing model, I need to get started on the rebalancing process.  The following … [Read more]

Bethe Portfolio Review: 4 February 2025

February 4, 2025 By Lowell Herr

With chaos emerging from the "Dunning-Kruger Administration" every day, what should investors be doing with their retirement accounts?  A reasonable question.  If you are young and are taking the long view, root for the market to decline so you can … [Read more]

Rutherford-Darwin Portfolio Review: 31 January 2025

February 1, 2025 By hedgehunter

DeepSeek attempted to take US Equities (specifically tech stocks) to the Deep Six on Monday - but markets recovered mid week only to show weakness again on Friday: Overall, the SPX (S&P 500 Index) was down ~1% over last Friday's close. However, … [Read more]

Franklin Portfolio Review: 31 January 2025

January 31, 2025 By Lowell Herr

Franklin is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review this last day of January.  Of the portfolios I track here on the ITA investment blog, the Sector BPI investing model requires the most attention to details.  Even so, it is a rather simple investing … [Read more]

January 30, 2025 By Lowell Herr

“The stock market is a device to transfer money from the impatient to the patient.” - Warren Buffett Huygens is another asset allocation portfolio that has been using this well-known investment model for a little less than one year.  The portfolio … [Read more]
