Millikan Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 29 November 2024

November 30, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Millikan is the final portfolio to be reviewed in November.  One more month to close out 2024.  Do to a few portfolios launched in late December of 2021, I use 12/31/2021 as the launch date for all ITA portfolios even though a few go back to the 1960s.  I don’t have data going back that […]

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 3): 29 November 2024

December 1, 2024 By hedgehunter

It was a holiday-shortened week in the US equity markets but stocks followed the seasonal bullish trend often seen over the days going into Thanksgiving: The SPX (S&P 500 Index) was up ~1.4% from last week’s close and is sitting at 6032 and re-testing the psychologically significant 6000 resistance level. If Santa gives the market […]

Schrodinger Portfolio Update: 2 December 2024

December 2, 2024 By Lowell Herr

November was an excellent month for the Schrodinger as it increased more than 5% during this period.  For new readers to the ITA blog, the Schrodinger is based with Schwab and is known as an Intelligent Portfolio.  I refer to this type of portfolio as a Robo Advisor portfolio as it is managed by a […]

Huygens Asset Allocation Portfolio Review: 3 December 2024

December 3, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Huygens is one of nine portfolios following an Asset Allocation (AA) investing model.  This includes the Schrodinger as it too is built around the concept of diversification.  Launched in April of this year the Huygens does not have much AA history.

Copernicus Portfolio Review: 4 December 2024

December 4, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Next to the Schrodinger the Copernicus is the easiest portfolio to manage as it is an all equity account using VOO and VTI as the primary investment securities.  By focusing on equities such as VOO the goal is to keep pace with the S&P 500 index or SPY, the index ETF.  Thus far the portfolio […]

Carson Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 6 December 2024

December 9, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Carson is the oldest Sector BPI portfolio tracked here at ITA Wealth Management.  We are beginning to see under what market conditions this management style works best and when it lags.  The basic idea of the Sector BPI model is to purchase the ETF that mirrors the sector when the Bullish Percent Indicator drops to […]

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 9 December 2024

December 9, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Gauss is one of the five Sector BPI portfolios tracked here at ITA.  This Sector BPI portfolio just passed its two year mark operating under the Sector BPI model.  As readers will see in a moment, the Gauss is keeping pace with the S&P 500 ETF, SPY.  SPY is a difficult benchmark to exceed year […]

Einstein Asset Allocation Portfolio Review: 11 December 2024

December 12, 2024 By Lowell Herr

The Einstein is one of ten Asset Allocation (AA) portfolios I track here on the ITA blog.  Eight are reported on regularly and two of the ten include the Schrodinger and Copernicus.  The Copernicus is a special breed as I am only using U.S. Equities with this portfolio so one would not consider it to […]
