Mendelssohn’s Elijah is my primary classical music recommendation for this week. Normally, I’m not a stickler for a particular rendition, but in this case I highly recommend you go with Robert Shaw. In my mind, it is an outstanding recording of this melodious oratorio.
If you are not a fan of the oratory, I’m including a second recommendation and it is “Eternity And A Day” composed by Eleni Karaindrou. This is the soundtrack for the 1998 film by the same name. These two music recommendations could not be different, but both bring pleasure to the ear.
