Let me add Billy Holiday and Sarah Carter (The Carter Family).
Carter would be on my list as well. I did not include singers who perform primarily in a group. Otherwise I would have added China who sings with the Pink Martini.
Another singer I let off the list is Kim Thiessen as it is difficult to find and purchase her music.
