Portfolio Management When Facing Debt Limit Differences

April 22, 2023 By Lowell Herr

The potential for a debt limit crisis is only a few months away.  While the root causes are subject to debate, arguing history while therapeutic does little in the way of providing guidance when it comes to portfolio management.  How might one work with different portfolios, assuming readers of ITA are using a variety of […]

Carson Sector BPI Plus Portfolio Update: 20 April 2023

April 20, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Carson is the oldest Sector BPI portfolio and thus far the most profitable.  As with the three other Sector BPI portfolios, I’ve added additional securities to patch the logic gap found in the original sector hypothesis.  Those additions are:  1) Dual Momentum options and 2) Income CEF options.  Follow along with the analysis of the […]

Gauss Portfolio Update: 19 April 2023

April 19, 2023 By Lowell Herr

The Gauss Portfolio is one of four Sector BPI portfolios or what might be better classified as a Sector BPI Plus portfolio as I’ve added two layers of ETFs in order to patch a potential weakness in the original Sector BPI hypothesis.  More on this later. Franklin Sector BPI Update: 18 April 2023

April 18, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Millikan Portfolio Update: 17 April 2023

April 17, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Millikan is one of the last of the four Sector BPI portfolios to undergo a “mending” of a potential weakness in the original hypothesis.  Since there are no BPI recommendations at present and cash is available, this update will show how that cash might be put to use.

It is an important part of any investment strategy, as it helps to reduce risk and improve your chances of achieving your financial goals. Gauss Portfolio Update: 15 April 2023

April 15, 2023 By Lowell Herr

This particular blog post is another example of how to address a potential weakness in the Sector BPI investing model.  The Gauss portfolio is one of four Sector BPI portfolios so it is an appropriate candidate for this change. Gauss Investment Quiver The following investment quiver is an expansion of the Sector BPI model and […]
