Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 20 June 2024

June 20, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Gauss is the Sector BPI portfolio scheduled for review this first day of summer.  The Gauss uses a few more equity ETFs than some of the other Sector BPI portfolios in that developed international and emerging market equities are investment options.  These additions have been a drag on performance as readers will see below.

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 27 May 2024

May 27, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Sending best wishes to all readers on this Decoration Day. Gauss is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review.  This particularly portfolio is set up with an expanded investment quiver that includes developed international equities (VEA) and emerging market equities (VWO) whereas most of the Sector BPI portfolios focus on VTI and VOO as the […]

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 9 May 2024

May 9, 2024 By Lowell Herr

With 1.5 year of data, the Gauss portfolio is performing quite well using the Sector BPI model.  It appears as if the longer one uses the Sector BPI model the better the performance.  Market action during the last few years might be the contributing factor.  As I’ve frequently stated, we need to go through a […]

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 24 April 2024.

April 24, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Earlier this morning I posted a blog using Asset Allocation principles with the Pauling.  Gauss uses an entirely different investing model.  This investing model is unique to ITA Wealth Management and it is called the Sector BPI™ model.  At least I’ve not found anyone else using this approach to investing. The idea is to purchase […]

“Knowing your tolerance for risk is critical to investment success.” – Richard A. Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 4 March 2024

March 4, 2024 By Lowell Herr

“Pay tax on what you take, not what you make.” – Warren Buffett Gauss is the portfolio up for review this morning.  Simplicity is the direction I’m moving with this Sector BPI portfolio as well as the other portfolios I track here at ITA.  Eventually ESGV, VEA, and VWO will be removed leaving the eleven […]

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 13 February 2024

February 12, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Gauss is another portfolio last reviewed in January so I am bringing it into the February fold with this update.  As readers will see in the security holding worksheet, I’ve added VEA and VWO as potential options.  These international equities add diversity to the Gauss Sector BPI portfolio.  Neither VEA or VWO are currently recommended […]

Gauss Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 17 January 2024

January 17, 2024 By Lowell Herr

Early this morning I checked the current Bullish Percent Indicators (BPI) and no sectors are in the oversold zone.  Therefore, no purchases are scheduled for the Gauss portfolio. For new subscribers, oversold is defined as a situation where 30% or fewer stocks within a sector are bullish.  To learn more about BPI data, go to […]
