Franklin is one of four Sector BPI portfolios tracked here at ITA. This is a unique investment model not found elsewhere to my knowledge. If you are following the Sector BPI method the other three portfolios are: Carson, Gauss, and Millikan. What happens when multiple sectors fall into the over-sold zone and the recommended percentage […]
Millikan Portfolio Update: 14 March 2023
While the Millikan portfolio is the one I’ll review this morning, this blog post goes into more detail with respect to Bullish Percent Indication graphs and Point and Figure (PnF) graphs for individual sector ETFs. There may be some confusion and I want to clear this up in this post.
Carson Portfolio Review: 13 March 2023
With five of eleven sectors in the over-sold zone, the Carson needs special attention. This also applies to the Franklin, Millikan, and Gauss portfolios. I’ll be working to rebalance each this week.
Gauss Portfolio Review: 10 March 2023
As pointed out in the Bullish Percent Indicator blog post earlier this morning, five of the eleven sectors are over-sold. I’ve selected the Gauss to show how I plan to implement this information after the market opens Monday morning. Next week I plan to check up on the other three Sector BPI portfolios as they […]
Franklin Portfolio Update: 7 March 2023
The Franklin is not scheduled for a full review. I want to begin the March risk ratios so this is an update for this Sector BPI portfolio. Checking the Bullish Percent Indicators (BPI) data this morning, nothing significant changed. Utilities continues to be over-sold and that is the sole sector that is under the waterline.
Carson Portfolio Update: 6 March 2023
Carson is one of the first portfolios I converted to the Sector BPI model. Thus far it is working quite well, but it is still much too early to draw any viable conclusions. As with the Millikan, we are checking in on Utilities (VPU) to make sure the Carson is holding a full (15%) in […]
Millikan Portfolio Update: 7 March 2023
Millikan is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review this morning. Based on the latest Bullish Percent Indicator data, only Utilities is over-sold so it is essential that sector be fully populated. As readers will see in a moment Utilities holds the recommended 15% of the total portfolio.
Gauss Portfolio Review: 28 February 2023
Gauss needs a little work this morning as the Utilities sector is not fully populated. Energy (VPU) is within a whisker of being over-sold so I have limit orders in place to pick up more shares of this sector. Nothing else has changed within the Bullish Percent Indicator world.
