Millikan Portfolio Update: 7 March 2023

March 6, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Millikan is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review this morning.  Based on the latest Bullish Percent Indicator data, only Utilities is over-sold so it is essential that sector be fully populated.  As readers will see in a moment Utilities holds the recommended 15% of the total portfolio.

Gauss Portfolio Review: 28 February 2023

February 28, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Gauss needs a little work this morning as the Utilities sector is not fully populated.  Energy (VPU) is within a whisker of being over-sold so I have limit orders in place to pick up more shares of this sector.  Nothing else has changed within the Bullish Percent Indicator world.

Franklin Portfolio Review: 23 February 2023

February 23, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Looking back eight or nine months ago the Franklin was trailing its benchmark (AOA).  Since that time the Franklin has pulled ahead of the benchmark, partially due to moving from the Dual Momentum™ model to the Sector BPI model.  Will this trend continue is the cogent question? If interested in the Sector BPI model, follow […]

Millikan Portfolio Review: 22 February 2023

February 22, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Millikan is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review today.  If you will recall the BPI data from last week, Utilities (VPU) was found to be in the over-sold zone or below the 30% bullish mark.  Energy (VDE) was so close to over-sold that I considered it to be available for purchase as well.  That […]

February 18, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Earlier this morning I posted BPI data and that information will impact the four Sector BPI portfolios, the Carson being one.  This review will lay out the process I go through when working with a Sector BPI portfolio.  From the BPI data we found two sectors are recommended for purchase and they are, Energy and […]

Bullish Percent Indicators: 17 February 2023

February 18, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Bullish Percent Indicator data has not generated any purchase signals since late last December.  Data this week is different as we have one definite purchase and a second that is so close I’m calling it a Buy.  I’ve been eager for this day as it is the beginning of the critical Buy – Sell cycle […]

Franklin Portfolio Review: 8 February 2023

February 8, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Franklin is the Sector BPI portfolio up for review this morning and few changes, if any, are recommended as there are no sectors in the buy or over-sold zone.  As you recall from the most recent BPI data, several sectors are in the over-bought zone, of which none are current Franklin holdings.  The primary decision […]

Carson Portfolio Review: 6 February 2023

February 6, 2023 By Lowell Herr

As the original Sector BPI portfolio the Carson is scheduled for review this morning.  As mentioned in an earlier post or comment, I have concerns when a portfolio is in the position of holding few securities while the potential for a bull market run lies ahead.  Should a bull market ensue there are only two […]
