Bullish Percent Indicators: 7 April 2023

April 7, 2023 By Lowell Herr

There was brief action this week as Staples (VDC) moved into the over-bought zone on Wednesday.  Thursday’s market action moved the BPI percentage back into the neutral zone.  Since none of the four Sector BPI portfolios were holding any shares of VDC, no sell orders were placed. Overall, the U.S. Equities market, and that is […]

Copernicus Portfolio Review: 6 April 2023

April 6, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Copernicus is the passively managed portfolio up for review this morning.  This portfolio is easy to manage and update and it happens to be one of the more successful portfolios tracked here at ITA.  As readers will recall, the Copernicus is populated with U.S. Equities and the philosophy is to never sell.  Only save and […]

McClintock Portfolio Review: 4 April 2023

April 5, 2023 By Lowell Herr

McClintock is one of two Dual Momentum™ portfolios tracked here at ITA.  The other is the Pauling.  Based on current data, we have a new recommendation this morning as the DM model recommends International Equities.  To include Emerging Market Equities I use VEU as the investable ETF to fill this asset class.

Rutherford Portfolio Review (Tranche 2): 31 March 2023

April 1, 2023 By hedgehunter

The first Quater of 2023 ended with US equities putting in a strong performance closing up over 3.6% from last week’s close. Price is getting squeezed in that pendant zone between the 2 heavy yellow boundaries of the bearish and bullish trend channels. We can expect to see a breakout in one direction or the […]

Bullish Percent Indicators: 31 March 2023

April 1, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Bullish Percent Indicators ended the month of March on an uptick.  Every major index and sector is bullish.  Only Real Estate remains over-sold with 30% bullish.  It appears as if we now are in a “quiet” period for Sector BPI management as cash is minimal having been used to pick up shares of over-sold sectors.  […]

Gauss Sector BPI Update: 31 March 2023

March 31, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Updating the sector BPI data this morning revealed that only Real Estate remains in the over-sold zone.  Sectors that were over-sold last weekend have since moved above the 30% bullish line.  With little cash remaining in the Gauss coffer I squeezed in a few more shares of VNQ this morning after the market opened.

Millikan Sector BPI Portfolio Review: 30 March 2023

March 30, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Millikan is one of four Sector BPI portfolios undergoing testing here at ITA.  March has been a good month for the Millikan as readers will see in a moment.  This month is the first time several sectors dropped into the over-sold zone and the recovery has been positive.  In the short term the Sector BPI […]

Schrodinger Robo Advisor Portfolio Update: 29 March 2023

March 29, 2023 By Lowell Herr

The Schrodinger is a portfolio for all seasons.  Individuals preparing for retirement, and this applies to young folks in their 20s, would do well to take a close look at this Robo Advisor computer managed portfolio.  If one is still working and has little time to spend on portfolio management, the Schrodinger requires zero […]

Bethe Portfolio Review: 28 March 2023

March 28, 2023 By Lowell Herr

Investors seeking income and growth will find Bethe and Bohr the two portfolios to follow.  This morning I will update the Bethe.  If one seeks only income, then Huygens is the portfolio of interest.

Copernicus All Seasons Portfolio Review: 27 March 2023

March 27, 2023 By Lowell Herr

While I’m a few days early updating the Copernicus, I need to insert this analysis into the mix for several reasons – new readers at the top of the list.  Before anyone is overwhelmed with the various management tools, pay attention to this passively managed portfolio.  There are two passive portfolios tracked on the ITA […]
